In business since 1993, Journalistic Images is led by Johnny Mac and his team, who collectively bring their talents together to produce a superior product. With a journalistic approach mixed with traditional images, the studio has at least two photographers at each wedding to capture every laugh, every emotion and every moment.
 

General Philosophy:

Every bride is beautiful…. they range in ethnicity, race, height and weight. Their hair is blonde, black or brown, short, long, curly or straight. Some laugh easily before the camera, others shed tears of joy, offer a serious pose or model seductive flair. While completely different in so many ways, the women peering from the framed photos on the walls of the Johnny Mac studio do share two common traits: They are brides and they are strikingly beautiful. 

“Something radiates from them,” says Johnny Mac of Journalistic Images. “I’ve never had a bride walk in this studio who was as beautiful as she was on her wedding day.”

This dazzling vision may illuminate from the love the bride feels for her fiancé, the joy of seeing the wedding of her dreams become a reality or the excitement of what the future will hold. Most likely her attractiveness stems from all of these things, but it is the expertise of Johnny Mac and his team that not only highlights this beauty, but captures it forever. 

“Every woman has beauty, but having the eye to bring that out – that’s where talent comes into play,” says Johnny Mac.

“Typically the best storytelling has both the action and the reaction,” says Johnny Mac. “We want to have both.”

When asked if wedding photography ever becomes mundane, Johnny Mac quickly shakes his head. “I love the emotion of the day,” he adds. “The emotion of my wedding day is only surpassed by the birth of my children.”

“It’s the relationship. It’s the people. It’s the emotion the bride and groom share,” he continues.  “It’s an honor to be chosen for a wedding, that’s what it is.”
 

What makes Johnny Mac different?

Such admiration pushes Journalistic Images by Johnny Mac to strive for personal best, from producing incredibly detailed photos to ensuring they remain a pioneer in technology to checking that all the wedding details are executed perfectly -- such as whether the maitre d’ is pouring the champagne at the right moment to calling the limo if the ceremony ends early to placing the bouquet in the bride’s hand right before the anticipated toss.

“I’ve sewn more buttons on grooms’ tuxedos and one out of every three weddings I’m bustling gowns,” Johnny Mac says. “If you are going to do something in life you have to do it right.”

The attentiveness, preparation, refusal to strap clients with time constraints and ability to gain the bride’s complete trust is why Journalistic Images is never considered just another vendor.

“We’re always on a first name basis. We’re very relaxed and comfortable and many of our clients are now good friends,” Johnny Mac says, later adding, “We do what we’re called to do versus what we have to do.”

Are there hidden fees?

We do not have hidden fees.  Our plan contents are based on our experience through the years of learning the needs of brides and their families; avoiding unforeseen expenses.  Only minimal travel expenses limited by the agreement are added, and nicely offset by the sales tax not charged for albums shipped out-of-state or internationally.
